Assassin's Creed Unveils Unexpected Attack on Titan Event for Holiday Season
In a surprising crossover event that challenges conventional predictions, the game developer has unveiled an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.
Strange Adventure Uncovered
According to the authorized statement, "A strange confrontation leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where whispers of forbidden ceremonies and monstrous metamorphoses reverberate through the obscurity." The storyline presents a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with traveling into the Crystal Caveβa important location from Attack on Titanβto rescue her friend from a secret sect.
The adventure centers on "bizarre trials and a terrifying enemy" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Locations and Transformations
The preview features the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser ends with a powerful sequence showing a character, likely the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Rewards and Additional Material
Players who finish the adventure will receive an exclusive katana together with multiple objects secreted throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also includes in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

This patch also brings the game's latest free story episode, titled "The Enigma." This lighthearted adventure pairs Naoe and Yasuke as they exchange distinctive skills: Naoe introduces a performative version of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke learns non-lethal stealth takedowns. Faithful to its name, "The Mystery" also features a fresh environmental puzzle that may finally explain some unresolved questions from the main storyline.
